In his late teens Sam frequented many of Melbourne’s clubs and rave parties here and in Bali. As his friends recall “he was a showman on the podiums as he was on the dance floor - he was what you could say a peoples party mover!”

 

His appreciation for Latin music came about in 2006 following an invitation by his sister who taking salsa classes - he thought to himself why not I’ll give it a go!

It took him a number of lessons to get used to dancing combination with a partner having danced as a soloist all these years, but finally when it all came together there was no stopping him.

 

In 2007 he met Julie who was running the latinlover website, and together he began to take further interest in Latin dance, music and culture.

 

After a long day working in his business www.auslinkfireandsecurity.com.au his time is spent in dance classes enjoying the Latin scene, for Sam it's a fantastic way for him to relax have fun, keep fit and enjoy friends.
